Aurora Extras Programs
South Eastern Private Hospital are currently offering the following Aurora Extras Programs
Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Cardiac rehabilitation is provided for any patient with a surgical or non-surgical cardiac condition. The program aims to educate the cardiac patient about safe exercise, diet, medications they may be taking and any mood/anxiety/depression they may be experiencing.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is provided for all patients with lung conditions including COPD and Emphysema. The program uses exercise and education to maximise quality of life for patients suffering from pulmonary conditions, in a safe, professional and supportive environment.
Our Cardiac Rehab Program is staffed by professional clinical staff.
Driving Assessments
Sometimes impairments associated with medical conditions, injuries and disabilities can influence how well you drive. You may be asked to have an Occupational Therapy Driving Assessment to show that you can drive safely. Even if you are an experienced driver, you may be asked to have this assessment.
South Eastern Private Hospital offers driving assessments through our Aurora Extras service. To arrange your driving assessment, please contact our friendly team on 03 9549 6829
Falls and Balance Program
Falls prevention is a group-based program for any patient who is experiencing falls issues or is a falls risk, either in the community or at home. It provides the patient with Best Practice education, exercise and evaluation to help decrease the risk of falls. The program is structured to make the patient feel safe and to build confidence in exercise and general everyday living
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy has been proven to offer a comfortable environment to exercise, for anyone experiencing pain. Our Hydrotherapy programs are offered both in business hours and afterhours, to cater for people who are working and wish to attend Hydrotherapy after work.
The program is perfect for patients undergoing ‘prehab’ prior to surgery, as well as those recovering after surgery, trauma or deconditioning.
