Visiting Hours
Our hospital visitor policy has changed in response to the latest Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) update on COVID-19 and the community.
In the interest of the safety and well-being of both patients and staff, please review and adhere to the following guidelines before arranging to visit South Eastern Private Hospital.
Visiting Restrictions from 27 February 2021
South Eastern Private Hospital has revised visiting hours with the following restrictions:
- Food or flower deliveries cannot be accepted.
- No limit on duration of visit (other than being within visiting hours).
- Visitors can include a child below 16 years of age, children 12 years and older are required to wear a disposable mask.
- All visitors are required to wear a face mask as per DHHS guidelines.
- Screening, including temperature checks, is mandatory for all visitors upon entry.
- Visitors will not be permitted entry to the hospital if they live in, visited or travelled to an identified ‘hotspot’ with an elevated risk of community transmission (this includes VIC public exposure sites) as defined by public health authorities. Please note: Hot spots are changing daily.
Visiting Hours from 27 February 2021
Monday to Friday: 11:00am to 1:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Weekends and Public Holidays: 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Variation to these restrictions can be considered for patients in the following circumstances:
- Palliative care / End of Life care
- Specialist care giver (a person who provides significant specialised care directly to a patient)
As part of the Australian Government’s private hospital viability guarantee, South Eastern Private Hospital is part of the COVID-19 partnership agreement with the Victorian State Government, and part of the overall COVID-19 crisis management strategy.
