Dr Shafaet Jamil

Dr. Shafaet Jamil is a consultant medical oncologist and general physician accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians under the Faculty of Adult Medicine. He completed his MBBS at Chittagong University and holds a Diploma in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of Otago, New Zealand. His specialist training includes basic physician training in Queensland and advanced oncology training in Victoria, with clinical roles at Peninsula Health, Monash Medical Centre, and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Dr. Jamil offers patients a holistic, evidence-based approach to cancer care with a focus on immunotherapy and patient education. He manages a wide range of cancers including lung, breast, prostate, kidney, bladder, colorectal and GBM. Known for his compassionate and collaborative style, he actively involves carers in decision-making. Practising at South Eastern Private, St John of God Berwick, and Mulgrave Private, he welcomes both insured and uninsured patients. He is also a member of ASCO, ESMO, COSA, and Planetary Health Academia.
