Since opening our dedicated mental health unit in 2016, South Eastern Private Hospital has spent 10 years helping people in Melbourne's south-east on the road to recovery. Our experienced team of psychiatrists, nurses and allied health professionals deliver evidence-based inpatient, day patient and outpatient care for mood disorders, anxiety, depression and older adult mental health conditions.
Our 60-bed mental health unit comprises 52 single rooms and 4 double rooms across two purpose-built wards — Olinda and Emerald. Each ward operates on a consultant-led care model with dedicated mental health nursing and therapy staff, and every space is designed to support recovery in the least restrictive environment possible, so patients feel safe, comfortable and respected throughout their stay.
Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, medical officers, nurses and allied health professionals brings a decade of specialised experience to every treatment plan. We take a holistic approach, providing care in a safe, supportive environment for inpatients, day patients and outpatients alike.
