Do I Need to Refer to a Specific Psychiatrist?
No.
If your patient already has a treating psychiatrist, you are welcome to nominate them on the referral.
If your patient does not currently have a psychiatrist, or the nominated psychiatrist is unavailable, our team can assist in allocating the referral to the most appropriate specialist based on the patient's clinical needs, treatment requirements and practitioner availability.
This helps streamline the referral process and improve timely access to care.
