Dr Shafaet Jamil is an Australian trained Physician. His sub-speciality is Medical Oncology.
Dr Jamil underwent Basic physician Training in Queensland and advanced training in Medical Oncology in Victoria.
He was trained in Peninsula Health, Monash Medical Centre, and 1 Year of fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
After many years in public system at Gippsland, Dr Jamil is now focused on Cancer care and as a General medicine Physician at St John of God Hospital Berwick, Mulgrave Private Hospital and South Eastern Private Hospital.
Dr Jamil is a compassionate and patient focused physician and strongly believes in holistic approach.
He emphasises on patient education and involving patient’s carer in their cancer journey.
Dr Jamil has special interest in Immunotherapy and completed a year-long Diploma at University of Dunedin, New Zealand.
He is happy to discuss cases with GPs and other specialists over the phone and happy to consult both insured and non- insured patients.
Dr Jamil is involved in Global Patient education via Planetary Heath Academia (PHA) and participates in regular educational webinars.
He is a member of international societies ie ASCO, ESMO, COSA etc. He also a member of Multidisciplinary T of St John of God Berwick and ICON cancer centre at Mulgrave Private Hospital.
