Professional background
Dr. Saad B Ahmed is a Senior Geriatrician and General Medicine Physician. He graduated from the University of Peshawar in 2003 and then moved to the UK to undertake further training in medicine and received membership from The Royal College of Physicians, London (MRCP). After moving to Australia in 2008, Saad completed advanced training in Geriatric Medicine, General Medicine, and Perioperative Medicine at St. Vincent, Monash, and Ballarat Health, and furthered his expertise in palliative care and pain management at the Peter McCallum Centre. Saad advocates for a holistic approach to elderly patient care, focusing on individualised plans to improve quality of life. He has vast experience in bariatric medicine, providing assessment and care as a perioperative physician. His special interests are in:
