Professional background
A/Professor Krishna Vaddadi is a General Adult Psychiatrist with extensive experience in clinical psychiatry, specialising in Consultant Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry. He is the Director of Psychiatry at South Eastern Private Hospital and has a public appointment at Monash Health.
He has an adjunct appointment with Monash University, and takes an active role in teaching registrars and medical students and Research.
A/Prof Vaddadi qualified in Psychiatry in the United Kingdom and holds the Fellowship (FRC psych) of both the UK and Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). He has a Masters degree (Mphil in psychiatry) from Leeds University, United Kingdom.
He has served for 22 years on the Human research and ethics committee at Monash Health.
A/Prof Vaddadi has published many articles in international journals and written book chapters. He is trained in impairment assessment, TMS and in Trauma work ( EMDR).
A/Prof Vaddadi’s collaborative approach to patient care focuses on management plans and long-term outcomes. This means that at times he will work closely with psychologists, GPs and neurologists, as well as consult with family members and caregivers and is committed to providing excellence in all patient treatments through holistic and collaborative psychiatric care.
