About us

Conveniently positioned in the heart of the south east and easily accessible from Eastlink and Monash Freeway as well as Princes Highway and Heatherton Road, South Eastern Private Hospital is a 203 bed facility (plus chemotherapy) with a medical/oncology, palliative care, dialysis, rehabilitation, mental health focus.

The vision for South Eastern Private Hospital is to be the foremost post-acute facility delivering best practice inpatient and outpatient services in the South Eastern Melbourne corridor.

About our graduate nurse program

We are seeking graduates for our 2024 graduate nurse program who are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Our graduates share the values of Aurora Healthcare and enjoy working in a busy multidisciplinary environment.

Our graduate nurse program is a 12 month, part time (0.8 fulltime equivalent) program, with 2 rotations, each with a duration of 6 months.

We offer a unique program with two streams:

  • Stream A: medical/oncology and palliative care
  • Stream B: rehabilitation and mental health

Our program is open to both registered nurses and endorsed enrolled nurses.

Ongoing appointment is available to successful applicants.

 

About you

Your qualifications, skills and experience

Our graduate nurse program is open to newly qualified registered nurses and endorsed enrolled nurses who have registered with AHPRA.

  • Candidates will share the values of Aurora Healthcare being people above all else, enjoyment through work/life balance, professional integrity, optimism, creativity and initiative, determination to succeed and commitment
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and mange a diverse caseload
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Your application must include:

  • Cover letter (one page) address including preference for Stream A or Stream B of the program
  • Resume (maximum three pages)
  • Passport sized photo of yourself
  • Academic transcript
  • Two (2) recent acute or subacute clinical placement reports: Please include entire report including both formative and summative grade plus comments
  • Two referees: Manager plus a clinical teacher or registered nurse with whom you have worked
  • All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory national police certificate conducted by the Victoria Police.
