- Malignant Haematology
Dr Shahidi is a clinical and laboratory haematologist. She completed her training through Eastern Health in Melbourne and Tasmanian Health Services before obtaining her PhD in the Melbourne University. She is a fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physician (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia (FRCPA). Her special interests lie in translational research in cancer genomic and targeted therapy, while her clinical interests include malignant and non-malignant haematology. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand, and Australian Leukemia and Lymphoma Group.
Dr Shahidi sees patients with a wide range of malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions such as lymphoma, chronic leukaemia, plasma cell disorders including myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes and haemostasis/thrombosis. Dr Shahidi also consult patients with anaemia or other cytopenia. Dr Shahidi is fluent in English and Persian/Farsi and offers a short waiting time for new patients.
